WELCOME TO NURTURE CATERING

David Pilling and his team developed the business from scratch 8 years ago – instilling it with a deep sense of family values. These values have now been extended to an excellent, well-trained and highly professional team who are discreet, friendly and courteous at all times.

We pride ourselves on exceptional customer services and a very high degree of flexibility and this is delivered by a fantastic team of people who are all committed to making your event or occasion the very best it can be.

We guarantee to provide menus that include catering for allergens and food intolerance’s and service to suit every budget, without any hidden extras. David will be working with you from the initial quote stage to the event itself, to bring you the freshest quality foods prepared in our purpose built kitchens.

Our prices reflect our social enterprise ethos of affordable quality

The Nurture Catering team is led by Chef David Pilling

It began with one talented chef, one pushy manager and a true belief that everyone has potential.

The original remit was to “earn enough through the odd catering job to cover your wages so that we could train residents to budget and cook wholesome food”

How things change!

Unwavering in his pursuit to producing only the absolute best results for Nurture Catering and its valued customers.

I have been a chef for 30 years. During this time I have had the good fortune of travelling with my work learning a myriad of cultural culinary skills.

I have been a chef at Nurture Catering for  2 year and during this time I have mentored dozens of Volunteer Apprentices who have easily achieved the industry standard diploma and gone on to paid employment and secured accommodation.

Our volunteers work towards completing our industry standard qualification.  They gain a high standard of cookery skills from processes, such as roasting and frying to commodities, whilst also learning other workplace essentials like menu design.
The Diploma in is for anyone who works or wants to work as a Kitchen Assistant or a Chef in the catering and hospitality sector.  It is ideal for learners coming straight from a non educational background who wish to seek a career in this industry.  It is also ideal for those chefs in industry who would like to continue or refresh their knowledge by undertaking topics within the qualification.
